Jake had been gone for hours. Part of me was glad. I didn't want to know what he had planned for me when he returned. I'd never been so wrong about someone in my life. He was evil. Hatred oozing from his pores. He'd not gone into any detail, but I knew. I was paying for Leah's sins.
